BRAD Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Keira Knightley are among the guests due to descend on Linlithgow Palace tomorrow night for Chanel’s glittering annual extravaganza dubbed the greatest fashion show on earth.
The Hollywood A-listers attending the Metiers d’Art show are also expected to include Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez and Vanessa Paradis.
The Metiers d’Art event is held in a different country each year and highlights the work of Chanel’s specialist manufacturers around the world.
Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld is rumoured to have spent more than £2 million on the show. Around 200 Chanel staff have been busy preparing for the event at the palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots.
Plush gazebos with underfloor heating have been built for the occasion.
About 490 guests on the exclusive guest list will arrive by limousine.
Tessa Hartmann, founder of the Scottish Fashion awards, said: “This is my first Metiers d’Art and I’m beside myself.
“There will be around 40-50 supermodels on the runway, showcasing Chanel’s 2013 autumn collection. It’s huge for Scotland.”
