Photoblog: Andy Murray swaps drop shots for fashion shoot

ANDY Murray has made another play to become an unlikely fashion icon - in the pages of industry bible Vogue.

Britain's number one swapped his usual on-court attire for celebrity snapper Mario Testino.

The 23-year-old Scot admitted his lack of knowledge about the latest menswear trends and the magazine reveals how Testino had to help Murray put his tie on for the shoot.

Dunblane-born Murray - who posed in 1930s garb for a fashion shoot for Fred Perry last year - told Vogue how his plans to watch the UK General Election unfold on television this year were hijacked by the need to take a random drugs test.

He said: "One of the drug testers turned up to give me a random competition drug test, and this is like 9:30pm, and I was just like eaaarghhhh, and you spend the next 45 minutes having someone ask you basically to put your trousers to your knees so that they can watch you and make sure it's you that's doing it."
