As MANY as 21 per cent of parents have forgotten how to play with their children and 30 per cent of mothers and fathers think playing with their offspring is boring.

A survey commissioned by Disneyland Paris found youngsters are sensitive to their parents reactions and 55 per cent of children want more quality fun time with their parents. The survey was based on responses from 2,000 UK parents and 2,000 children aged five to 15.

Half of parents blame work and chores for not spending enough time with their children. The poll also showed that 30 per cent of parents choose to play computer games with their children, but 89 per cent of youngsters would rather play with the games on their own.
