An Orkney man is waiting for confirmation of whether he set a world record for speed climbing.

Paul Gray, from Kirkwall, was successful in ascending the equivalent of a mile using an indoor climbing wall at the weekend.

The 40-year-old made 191 climbs in less than three hours at the Pickaquoy Centre. Though it is expected to be a new world record, it still has to be checked and verified by Guinness World Records.
