IT WAS great to see a feature (Write Stuff, 26 April) on Rodge Glass, whose wonderfully diverse opus is listed in the “about the author” section. I would like to point out that Rodge has also written a graphic novel – Dougie’s War, illustrated by Dave Turbitt – about the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder on a young soldier returning from war.

This provocative work pulls no punches about the impact of conflict on soldiers and, in particular, their loved ones.

It should be considered as a set text in schools and the
Ministry of Defence so that people can understand this
debilitating condition and
enable those who exhibit the signs to get help.
