Have your say

I was amused to note the selective quoting from my letter by Ian Lewis (Letters, 6 November).

Mr Lewis is quite correct to point out that according to the Legatum Prosperity Index the top three wealthiest countries in the world – Norway, Switzerland and New Zealand – are not members of the European Union, an “out-of-control” organisation according to the author.

I am not quite sure, however, the relevance of this statement given that EU members in this 142 country table occupy four of the top ten positions, with Denmark fourth, Sweden sixth, Finland eighth and the Netherlands in ninth place.
