Over-exposure

Have your say

I agree entirely with Professor Cole-Hamilton (Letters, 19 January): terrorists’ photos should not be given such prominence on newspapers’ front pages – compounded on this occasion by equally offensive large pictures inside (17 January).

A newspaper of record should of course publish photos of anyone in the news, but surely it is not necessary to devote so many good column inches even to pictures of admirable citizens, or indeed of those accused of crimes such as Paul Gadd/Garry Glitter, or of those such as many politicians whose faces are all too familiar to us. Small is beautiful, Sir!
