The chutzpah of Dr Mary Gillies (Letters, 15 July) is breathtaking. She quibbles over the sums saved by ending NHS homeopathy in Lothian, and claims that 83 per cent of its patients wanted it to continue. But what was this nonsense ever doing in the NHS in the first place?
Homeopathy is absurd quackery and has no place in the NHS, no matter how many fools want it – and no matter how modest the savings in dumping it.
