Matter of debate

Regardless of its defeat in the independence referendum, the SNP is now demanding that Scotland be treated as an independent state in as many ways as it can think up.

Surely, now that the TV broadcasters have treated the SNP as though it is from a foreign state, by leaving it out of the general election TV debates, it should be delighted to achieve this additional little bit of separateness.

The SNP would be entirely out of place in these debates anyway, as they will feature political leaders laying out policies, not inciting victimhood and grievance and attempting to conjure a sense of oppression out of every common or garden political issue.
