Have your say

On 26 April, 1956 I was present when Nikita Khrushchev and Nikolai Bulganin visited Queensferry, their first stop on a visit to Scotland.

The leaders of the Soviet Union seemed pleased and impressed by the warm welcome from James Lawson, Provost of the Royal Burgh.

I wonder if any of the SNP group that met at Queensferry on Saturday, 9 May realised their event was taking place on the very same spot as that earlier photo opportunity of 59 years ago.
