Have your say

Our local Lloyds pharmacy has moved to new premises beside its former shop which was accessible to wheelchair users.

It now has a high step at the door.

On the wall there is a door opener with a wheelchair symbol on it. I presume you press it and levitate over the step!

I was told they had a movable ramp they could bring out as the council turned down their plans for a fixed ramp.

I have discovered the council had never had any requests from Lloyds and, asking to use their mobile ramp I discovered they didn’t have one.

Trying to be independent can be difficult but a pharmacy chain could try and lead the way to help the wheelchair user access a service that everyone takes for granted.
