A different time

Have your say

When Robin Williams said “if you can remember the Sixties you weren’t there”, many of us smiled as we reviewed our partial recollections from half a century ago. In fact, it ran from 1959 to 1973 starting with the sexual revolution and ending in a haze of narcotics.

It was such a different age with so many looking for new “experiences” and up for just about anything, so it is unfair to judge it by the politically correct standards of today. It is sad to see geriatric celebrities arraigned for activities in which so many who also participated now escape attention because they are pensioners without fame or fortune.
