A chance for all

I HAVE no objection to being denied the label “cuddly Christian”, but I don’t think that holding traditional Christian beliefs makes me an “extreme” Christian, as Dr Mary Brown claims (Letters, 26 October).

Yes, I do believe that a person’s response to God’s offer of a renewed relationship and eternal life through Christ Jesus determines their status in God’s eyes. But Dr Brown is wrong to state that “the rest of us have no hope.” The Bible could not be clearer that God’s grace is available to all. Instead of deciding whether I’m “cuddly” or not, the crucial question is whether the gospel of Jesus Christ is true.
