NICOLA STURGEON underlined THE SNP’s desire for Scottish independence as she spoke to more than 10,000 people at the Glasgow SSE Hydro.

The First Minister laid out a plan for the SNP to take advantage of a potential hung parliament at Westminster by teaming up with other “progressive” parties across the UK to put an end to “austerity economics”.

Her speech came on the same day it was revealed SNP membership had risen past 90,000.
