THE city’s transport convener has made it crystal clear she is no fan of Ryanair.
Councillor Lesley Hinds, who has been charged with steering Edinburgh’s trams project away from further disaster, has promised never to travel with the budget carrier again after being slugged 60 euros for her hand luggage being too large.
She tweeted: “Why is it you can travel with a hand luggage bag from Edinburgh with Ryanair but not back from Dublin? Just been charged. Why?”
Museum coins it in
THE Museum on the Mound – where visitors can drool over £1 million in cash – has been awarded travel website TripAdvisor’s coveted certificate of excellence.
Doug MacBeath, curator, said: “This places the museum in the top-performing 10 per cent of all businesses on TripAdvisor.”

IT’S more than just a car, it’s a talking car – and it has a name.
But, having swerved KITT, probably to keep a few troublesome lawyers happy, they’ve named it... Adam.
Evans Halshaw in Edinburgh has taken delivery of the new Vauxhall, which has been fitted with an “IntelliLink infotainment system”.
In other words, it uses similar software to the iPhone’s voice control feature to perform tasks at the driver’s command.
