Turn up for Lions

I TRUST that a little more care and attention to detail will be given to the standard of dress to be worn by the British and Irish Lions when they tour in Australia next summer. The film The Wrong Trousers came to mind when I saw the photograph of the management team in rumpled strides in yesterday’s Scotsman (Sports, 13 December).

Of course, it may have been the case that a taller management team was expected as it is only the loftier members pictured who did not have wrinkles around their ankles.

I am also surprised that HSBC can afford to supply the polo shirts having coughed up £1.2 billion in fines in the United States earlier in the week.
