Pound for pound

Have your say

Hugh Kerr’s letter (18 February) knocks some of the shine off George Kerevan’s glowing portrait of Harold Wilson’s leadership (Perspective, 15 February).

Neither mentions the “pound in your pocket” broadcast the day he devalued the pound, telling us it was of the same value as it was the day before his decision and would be the same the next day.

Memories, ah, memories! They can deceive just as Mr
Wilson did.
