Miscaptioned Kiss

It was great to see Rodin’s sculpture The Kiss, now on loan for a year in the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh, featured in your paper (26 February).

But whoever wrote the caption should have looked at the photograph. It began: “The lovers draw admiring glances as Rodin’s 19th-century masterpiece The Kiss was unveiled…” Yet, of the six people in the photograph, four are looking at pictures on the gallery’s walls and the other two are immersed in a conversation. Not one seems interested in The Kiss.
