Graph confusion

The author and editor of your article on the health, or lack of it, of Scottish folks (20 November), would have gained very few marks if they had drawn the same graph in an SQA Higher human biology exam.

The graph, which purported to show the high death rate of Scots, did little to clarify the issue. There were two major errors: the heading omitted to mention the age-group in question, and the colours and labels of the green and red lines were the wrong way round.

Consequently, the graph was of little value, and would only confuse your readers, as it did me.
