WATFORD, at 5-6 with William Hill, are this week’s suggested best bet to beat Derby.
The Hornets have climbed to third and are arguably the best footballing side in the Championship – little wonder under the guidance of Gianfranco Zola. They are not only scoring freely, but they have sorted out the defensive problems that hampered them early in the season, winning their last two emphatically without conceding. Czech striker Matej Vydra is a Premiership player waiting to happen and he could potentially unlock a struggling Derby defence at will.
Swansea, seething after a thumping at Anfield can beat the handicapper and win by two or more as Bradford’s impressive cup run comes to an end. Take Swansea minus one goal at 5-4 general.
Kilmarnock who were superb at Tynecastle last week, when they eased to a 3-0 win, should be clear favourites against Aberdeen, though scotbet make them 6-4 joint favourites – back the home side to heap more pressure on Craig Brown.
I also like the look of Paul Hartley’s Alloa (5-6 Scotbet) to beat Arbroath who lost 2-0 at lowly Stranraer midweek.
