On-line art for rail travellers

ART colleges from Edinburgh and Glasgow are joining forces to offer creative lessons to rail commuters travelling between the two cities.

Students and tutors from Edinburgh College of Art and Glasgow School of Art will take part in the campaign promoting adult education.

The scheme, entitled One Hour a Day for Creativity, has been devised by the Scottish Adult Learning Partnership.

It will offer passengers travelling on the Edinburgh to Glasgow line an opportunity to learn new creative techniques or work on a piece of art inspired by their journey.

Students will be on board a specially-adapted first class carriage on three trains between Monday and Thursday to help out interested passengers.
