Official closure for Moonbeams
MOONBEAMS, the Edinburgh-based children’s charity suspended over missing millions, is to be officially wound up and a liquidator appointed.
Bill Cleghorn, the judicial factor in the charge of the charity since its suspension, has lodged a public notice saying that an interim liquidator is now to be put in place.
The move means the charity’s five directors - Willie Power, 54, George Douglas, 55, David Sinclair, 57, Dorothy Ford, 59, and Karen Stewart, 33 - will be banned from running charities.
