A WOMAN responsible for sending a series of saucy emails between two colleagues to people outwith the office they worked in has received a finger-wagging for her actions.

Deborah Bowman forwarded the x-rated chat between fellow workers Melanie Anderson and Eric Knisz to friends outwith the Aberdeen-based Integrated Subsea Services, which went viral shortly afterwards.

Ms Bowman, who appeared on the chain email that came to be known as the ‘sandwich van’ email, was given a dressing down by Subsea Services management but insisted that it wasn’t just her that had sent the email outwith the office.

Mr Knisz and Ms Anderson quit the firm after the email went viral. The two had been swapping cheeky messages before Ms Anderson inadvertently forwarded the chat onto other colleagues as she informed them that the ‘sandwich van is here.’

A spokesman for Integrated Subsea Services confirmed that action had been taken.
