A VIDEO showing a group of Scots having a beer at the bottom of a swimming pool has become an internet sensation, attracting over 1.7 million hits in just two days.
Jamie Ettershank, 22, an electrician from Arbroath, was on holiday in Florida enjoying a pool-side beer with his friends when a chair was thrown into the water.
When one of the group dived into the water and had a seat, his friends thought they would join him at the bottom of the pool for a drink.
Jamie said: “It just came about as a laugh when we saw the chair at the bottom of the pool and we thought we would make a video.”
One of the group posted the video on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter where it received over 1,000 favourites and 700 retweets.
When the video was picked up by internet site The LADbible, the five second clip went viral and received over 1.7 million views.
Jamie added: “When LADbible picked it up and put it on their site it went crazy. 1.7 million views is awesome. “We were all just watching and laughing at how well it was doing.
“We cracked open another beer when it hit 30,000. We have cracked open a lot more since then!”
