POLICE in Gloucester are appealing for witnesses after reports of a man abusing a dog.

The man reportedly punched, and bit the dog, thought to be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, in the town’s Southgate Street.

The incident took place between 6pm and 6.30pm on Thursday December 4.

Police are asking witnesses or anyone with further information to dial 101, quoting incident number 371 of 4th December 2014.
