A Hearts fan has received support from midfielder Prince Buaben - in an attempt to be added to the insurance on his dad’s car.

Alistair Rae sent the Ghanaian star a message on Snapchat, asking the 26-year-old Hearts player to ‘send a selfie telling my dad to insure me on his car’.

Former Dundee United and Partick Thistle midfielder Buaben duly obliged, sending back a selfie with the message: “Can you insure my pal.”

Alistair posted a series of pictures showing his original message, the notification from Buaben and the player’s selfie, with the caption: “Prince Buaben is an actual hero!”

No word yet on whether Alistair’s dad has been swayed by Buaben’s intervention, though.
