POLICE in Idaho have arrested a woman named Amanda Miranda Panda on suspicion of shoplifting.

The 18-year-old was jailed along with an accomplice, Tristen Parsons, with both being held at the Ada County Jail in Boise.

Boise Weekly reports that both have been charged with three felony counts of burglary, while Parsons is also charged with resisting and obstructing officers.

Boise police were called to Milkwaukee Street and Franklin Road earlier this week, where the suspects had allegedly shoplifted items from a number of shops and broken into at least two vehicles in a department store car park.

Officers confirmed that Parsons, 18, had tried to escape as they tried to question him, but he was caught a short time after.

Panda, also 18, was detained without incident.

Police said that they had recovered a number of items of clothing from four separate retailers, along with clothing and electronic equipment allegedly taken from the vehicles.
