A NAKED man fell through the ceiling of a bathroom at Boston Logan Airport on Saturday, before running out of the toilet and violently assaulting an elderly man before being arrested by police.

Cameron Shenk, of Boston, was charged with attempted murder, mayhem, assault and battery on a person aged over 60 as well as assault and battery on a police officer, lewd and lascivious conduct and malicious destruction to property.

Shenk’s antics began just before midday, state police spokesman David Procopio said, when a woman using a bathroom in the airport’s Terminal C reported that a naked man had fallen through the ceiling and landed in a cubicle.

The man had apparently sneaked into the toilet, undressed in a cubicle before climbing into the roof space above the bathroom before falling through the ceiling, Procopio added.

Procopio said that the man, later identified as 26-year-old Shenk, then fled the toilet, attacking an 84-year-old man by biting his ear and attempting to choke him with his cane.

The motive for the attack was unknown, but Shenk was involved in a scuffle with attending officers who arrested him, leaving one policeman with a minor hand injury.

The pensioner was taken to a hospital for treatment on his ear.

Shenk was escorted to Massachusetts General Hospital by police, where he was due to receive treatment of the injuries he sustained when he crashed through the ceiling.

Police confirmed that he would be booked upon his release from hospital, and arraigned in East Boston District Court.
