A 47-year-old man appeared at Perth Sheriff Court yesterday accused of causing fear and alarm with a black pudding.

It is alleged that Bradley Davidson behaved in a threatening and abusive manner, shouting aggressively before throwing the black pudding across the room.

He allegedly threw the pudding on 13 May at his home in South William Street, Perth.

He is also alleged to have assaulted a 10-year-old girl on the same date by kicking her to her injury.

Davidson denied the charge and is due to stand trial next month.
