In pictures: Boxing Day Nippy Dipper

WHILE the rest of the country recovered from the festive excess of Christmas Day beside a warm fire, these hardy Aberdonians braved the freezing cold waters of the North Sea to raise money for charity.

The annual Boxing Day Nippy Dipper event attracted over 100 participants with all money raised going to Inspire, a charity which provides support to people living in the north-east with learning disabilities and require additional support needs.

Many attended in Santa outfits while some participants left very little to the imagination of onlookers.
