BBC Radio One DJ Scott Mills has had a room named after him at a Scots university.

It comes after the presenter, 41, was at the University of Dundee’s freshers’ week playing a set for thousands of students.

He said: “I always love coming to Dundee, there is always a special feeling about the place every time I come up here that you don’t get anywhere else.”

Tim Hustler, Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA) president said the DJ is a big inspiration to their students.

He added: “Scott Mills has been a huge inspiration to many students up and down the country due to his success in the industry.

“DUSA has its very own student radio station, DUSA Radio, where many students aspire to be like Scott and he has been great in supporting us and coming to play in Dundee.”
