ESPN pundit Craig Burley stayed true to his word after losing a bet about Fernando Torres.
The former Celtic midfielder stated that he would get a tattoo of the much-maligned Spanish forward if he scored in his first Madrid derby since rejoining Atletico Madrid.
Torres, who endured a torrid time at Chelsea, scoring just 20 goals in 110 league matches didn’t fare much better following his loan switch to AC Milan.
The Spanish international scored just once in 10 appearances for the Serie A outfit but moved to the San Siro permanently, before returning to his boyhood club Atletico.
So Burley was left cursing his rash promise to get a tattoo of the Spaniard’s face if he netted in the meeting between Atletico and Real Madrid right from kick off at the Bernabeu on January 15th, in the Copa del Rey clash.
Leading 2-0 from the first leg, Atletico lined up with Torres and Antoine Griezmann up front, with the former Liverpool favourite scoring in the first minute of each half, consigning Burley to a session at the tattoo parlour.
Burley attended the Hartford County tattooist in Bristol, Connecticut to get inked - but is it permanent?
