A MULTI-MILLION-POUND shopping and leisure complex is set to experience its busiest ever Saturday night when it is invaded by nightclubbers.
Ocean Terminal, in Leith, is hosting a one-off extravaganza for the easy listening club Vegas and all 1000 tickets have been snapped up. Promoters have even managed to fill all 130 places for a pre-Vegas dinner package at the Zinc Bar and Grill in the 120 million complex.
A Vegas spokesman said: "This has been our fastest-selling night ever after our Hogmanay show. We always have a huge following, but I think the venue has captured the imagination of our regulars. "
Ocean Terminal manager Dennis Jones said: "Some people might think hosting a club night in a shopping centre is a bit unusual, but we think it shows the versatility of Ocean Terminal. If it is a success we hope to run similar events in the future."
Within weeks of opening last October, Ocean Terminal hosted the Scottish movie premiere of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The complex is home to a number of big-name stores such as Debenhams, BHS and Gap as well as a Ster Century Cinema and a visitor centre for the Royal Yacht Britannia.
