Object Lesson: Ann Summers handcuffs

THE award for the most embarrassing shopping incident this week goes to a female customer in the Wolverhampton branch of Ann Summers.

Browsing through the store’s selection of risqu items, including sex toys and racey underwear, the shopper decided to try on some handcuffs for size.

She probably asked herself, "What’s the worst that can happen?" and soon found out. The handcuffs jammed, and the fire brigade had to be called. A crew of six firefighters gallantly freed the woman using a hacksaw, but managed to attract a small crowd to witness the drama.

An assistant at the shop commented: "I don’t think she’ll ever try any on again."

Really?
