OAPs to live at home longer

ELDERLY people will be able to stay in their own homes for longer under a new strategy being considered by the health board.

The project in East Lothian is looking at ways of delaying admission into nursing homes and hospitals for pensioners.

The joint Living Better in Later Life is out for consultation, and will involve the increased use of technology in people's homes.
