Nurses boost lung care
THE number of local nurses specialising in lung cancer has doubled in the last year.
Figures released through the Scottish Parliament have shown there are now four nurses in the field in the Lothians.
The figure is still fewer than in Glasgow, where lung disease is more common.
Health Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: "Early detection of lung cancer is crucial."
