Not playing fair

ASH Scotland’s Sheila Duffy (Letters, 13 October) predictably falsifies my views on
banning smokers from children’s play areas. Far from objecting to inconvenience for smokers and rejecting children’s interests, I focused on neither smoking nor children, but on validity of argument.

In particular, I cited lack
of supporting evidence of smoking in such playgrounds, but Ms Duffy declined my challenge to prove me wrong in questioning the problem’s existence. Surely she has relevant statistics?
