Norovirus cases falling

NOROVIRUS cases reported in Lothian hospitals have continued to fall, following a recent surge which put pressure on the region’s health services.

The latest figures released by Health Protection Scotland have shown that just one hospital ward – at St John’s Hospital in Livingston – was closed this week because of the bug.

The data showed that nine patients had been affected, while there were no NHS Lothian staff members facing symptoms.
