NHS hospitals work together
THE Lothian's three main hospitals are increasingly working as one to improve care in the area.
That was the message to NHS board members as part of a Scottish Government review.
They were told in order to make best use of technology, the ERI, the Western General and St John's Hospital in Livingston "increasingly function as one virtual hospital".
The presentation continued: "This has seen the introduction of common service standards across Lothian's sites."
