NHS awards are set to stay
AN AWARDS ceremony to recognise the best NHS Lothian staff is to become an annual affair.
The Celebrating Success awards was hailed by health chiefs as a triumph, and they have decided to make it a yearly event.
The aim of the bash was to award health workers who go above and beyond the call of duty in everyday roles.
Health board chief executive James Barbour said: "The sheer range of expertise and excellence represented by each of the 32 shortlisted teams and individuals is striking and underlines the astonishing complexity of the modern NHS. No-one who works for NHS Lothian can be in any doubt about the remarkable work of individuals or teams."
