New CT scanner at city hospital
A STATE of the art CT scanner has been added to a city private hospital.
Patients at the Spire Murrayfield Hospital will now have access to the 1.9 million facility.
It is the latest in a series of improvements at the hospital, including MRI scanning and X-ray facilities. It will help the diagnosis and treatment of people who have strokes, heart problems and orthopaedic issues.
Dr Allan Stevenson, consultant radiologist at the hospital, said: "The primary advantage of the new scanner will be improved image quality."
