New website launched to offer advice to diabetic patients
AN ONLINE resource has been launched for diabetics in the Lothians.
NHS Lothian set up the website to help people manage their condition, organise clinics and access information.
Dr John Knight, the health board's lead clinician for diabetes, said: "Education and information for patients with diabetes and their carers is important to enable patients to look after their diabetes and remain healthy.
"This website, developed locally, provides another opportunity for people to find useful and up-to-date information."
The site also allows patients to download self-referral forms for podiatry and keep track of the latest research projects. For information visit www.nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk/diabetes
