New migration degree for city
A NEW degree to study the impact of human migration on the history of nations is being launched by the University of Edinburgh.
The postgraduate degree in Diaspora and Migration History is the only one in the UK.
The course, which will admit its first students in September, will run at the Scottish Centre for Diaspora Studies, part of the School of History, Classics and Archaeology.
Professor Tom Devine, the director of the Scottish Centre for Diaspora Studies, said: "The study of migration and emigration has become one of the most fascinating areas of research."
