THE first flight of a service linking the Highlands with Amsterdam has arrived in Scotland.

Passengers were greeted by a giant water arch courtesy of the hoses of two airport fire engines.

The airport has also seen the resumption of flights from Inverness to Heathrow after an absence of 18 years.
