New health centre plan
TWO East Lothian villages are to benefit from a new health centre planned for the area.
Patients in Ormiston and Pencaitland – who currently have to travel to Tranent to see a GP – will have a dedicated surgery under the proposals.
Dr Ian Johnston, East Lothian Community Health Partnership's clinical director, said: "This means strengthened healthcare services being provided for local people."
