New facility for cancer care
A PRIVATE hospital has opened a new facility for its cancer patients in the city.
Murrayfield Hospital officially unveiled its cancer treatment centre yesterday.
Bosses at owners Spire Healthcare said the oncology day chemotherapy centre would allow patients going through worrying times to experience top quality care in a relaxing and tranquil environment.
The new centre contains "treatment pods" where patients can watch DVDs or look at the internet while undergoing treatment, and also offers the latest technology.
One patient who used the centre for the first time said: "You are treated with the utmost friendliness and respect. Most of all, the incredibly attentive staff make the whole experience excellent."
