MSPs examine sexual imagery
AN inquiry into sexual imagery on goods aimed at children could be launched by MSPs.
The probe is among a range of options which will come before a Holyrood committee investigating the availability of adult-themed products aimed at under-16s.
The move comes one month after MSPs, academics and a children's charity piled pressure on adult publishing empire Playboy and the Scottish Retail Consortium for rejecting invitations to discuss their concerns.
Now MSPs on the Equal Opportunities Committee will decide what further action to take.
The committee meeting today could also research the prevalence of sexual imagery and attitudes to the products among parents, children and the industry.
