Move fast to make money from old mobile
People who received new mobile phones over Christmas are losing money by hanging on to their old handsets, website www.sellmyoldmobilephone.co.uk has warned.
The website said that old phones lose their value quickly and urged users to recycle them as soon as possible.
While the last 12 months has seen a growth in the phone recycling industry, the site’s director Graham Miller said: “All but the top mobile phone handsets fail to hold their value for very long, because the industry is so fast moving.
“There are countless benefits for the environment from recycling mobile phones, but for consumers who hang on to their handsets, the remuneration quickly dwindles, so people who want to capitalise need to act fast.”
