Mother tells Ramsay to eat humble pie
GORDON Ramsay has apologised over comments he made about an Australian television presenter after a dressing-down from his mother.
The Hell's Kitchen star was reported to have called Australian television presenter Tracy Grimshaw a lesbian and compared her to a pig in front of a 3,000-strong audience in Melbourne on Saturday, prompting a furious row Down Unde.
The 42-year-old chef's spokeswoman had apologised, but Ramsay, 42, went on television yesterday to say sorry in person. "I've had my mum on the phone this morning. When your mum rings you and it's a bollocking, you start to get the picture."
Grimshaw said Ramsay had rung her in person, and she accepted his apology.
