Mother's plea over Iraq hostages

THE mother of one of three Britons held hostage in Iraq for more than two years has claimed that the government's "low-key approach" has turned them into "forgotten men".

Avril Sweeney has said the Foreign Office should mount a high-profile campaign to press for the release of her son, Peter Moore, 35, an IT specialist, and two of his security guards, who were snatched in 2007.

Two other guards, Jason Cresswell, 39, and Jason Swindlehurst, 38, were killed by their captors.
